Hey, I’m Brianna!
IU Kelley School grad. Full-time Kobe's person. Certified foodie. Forever a student of dogs.
I adopted Kobe during my junior year at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. He came with separation anxiety and a reactive streak I wasn't remotely prepared for.
For the next two years, I studied dog training right alongside my degree, late nights, long walks, and a lot of trial and error. We're still working on both of those things today. That's not a failure. That's the whole point.
He's the reason I set realistic, personalized goals with every dog and owner I work with instead of chasing some idea of a "finished" dog.
Kobri Dog Training started with one dog: Kobe.
Kobe taught me that perfection was never the goal. Progress is.
My Background
Originally from New York, I left home to attend the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington. I graduated from there with a BS in Business Management and a Co-Major in Law, Ethics, and Decision-Making. I fell in love with Bloomington, and now provide my services to the community that welcomed me and became my second home.
My training background comes from years of self-driven learning, working with a number of trainers for my own dog, digging into different methods and philosophies, and putting in light volunteer hours to get real reps with dogs who needed patience. I've never believed one program or one mentor has all the answers, so I've made a habit of learning from as many as I can.
That habit hasn't stopped, and it never will. I don't think anyone in this field ever knows everything, and I'm not interested in pretending otherwise.
A few things guide how I work:
The ApproachI take a holistic, balanced approach, not just in the tools and methods I use, but in how I treat every dog and every owner. That comes from staying a student myself, always picking up new methods and perspectives so I never get stuck doing things one way just because it's familiar.
CommunicationI believe in clear, honest communication because confusion helps no one, dog or human. That's why I explain the "why" behind every method I use, not just the "what," so you're never just following instructions blindly.
The ExperienceI want owners to leave our time together feeling confident and more connected to their dog, and I want every dog to feel genuinely fulfilled, in a way that fits their specific breed and personality, not a generic mold.
